Sports and Recreation is the hub of student Sport life, fostering a vibrant culture of participation, competition and recreation. It provides students with opportunities to engage in organized and informal sporting activities, building a strong sense of community and institutional spirit.
Sports and Recreation Activities
Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of sports and recreational activities according to their interests and abilities. These may include:

Student Participation

Students can participate individually or as part of teams representing their programmes, classes or the Institute. Through participation, students are encouraged to develop discipline, teamwork, leadership and a positive attitude towards healthy living.
Sports and Recreation Management
Sports and recreational activities at MIHS are coordinated through the MIHS sports committee headed by School deans on rotation every 2 years, and sport tutor with other committee members from different schools, the Student Affairs Coordinator and a guild sports minister.

Student representatives also support the organisation of sporting activities, competitions and recreational programmes, ensuring that students have opportunities to participate and contribute to the development of sports at the Institute.

Sports Equipment
Sports equipment is managed to ensure that students and sports teams have access to the equipment required for training, competitions and recreational activities.
Students using Institute sports equipment are expected to handle it responsibly, follow the applicable procedures for accessing equipment, and return items in good condition after use.

MIHS students participate in organised competitions and sporting activities within the Institute and, where opportunities are available, represent MIHS in external competitions.
