At Mildmay Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS), we recognise that a safe and supportive living environment contributes significantly to students' academic success, wellbeing and overall experience at the Institute.
MIHS provides accommodation options for students through four student hostels, offering separate accommodation arrangements for male and female students. Our accommodation services are designed to provide students with a secure, structured and conducive environment where they can study, rest, socialise and participate in community life.
Student Hostels
MIHS currently provides accommodation through:
Boys' Hostels
MIHS has two boys' hostels located off campus. These hostels provide accommodation for male students and are managed to ensure a safe and supportive living environment.
Girls' Hostels
MIHS has two girls' hostels located on campus. The on-campus location provides convenient access to Institute facilities and academic activities while providing students with a structured residential environment.
Hostel Management
Each MIHS hostel has a dedicated Warden responsible for the day-to-day welfare and administration of students residing in the hostel.
Wardens provide guidance and support to residents and help maintain a safe, orderly and respectful living environment. They also serve as an important link between students and the Institute on matters relating to residential life.
All hostel activities and residential matters fall under the Office of the Student Affairs Coordinator, which provides overall coordination and oversight of student accommodation and welfare.
Student Welfare and Support
MIHS seeks to ensure that students living in the hostels have an environment that supports their academic, social and personal development.
The hostel environment promotes:
-
Safety and security
-
Student welfare and wellbeing
-
A conducive environment for study
-
Respect and responsible living
-
Social interaction and community building
-
Discipline and personal responsibility
-
Good hygiene and cleanliness
-
Respect for Institute and hostel regulations
Hostel Life
Living in an MIHS hostel gives students an opportunity to interact with colleagues from different backgrounds and develop important interpersonal and life skills.
Students are encouraged to contribute positively to hostel life by respecting their fellow residents, maintaining cleanliness, observing hostel guidelines and participating responsibly in community activities.
Hostel activities are coordinated under the guidance of the respective Wardens and the Office of the Student Affairs Coordinator.
